Meet the Owner

Hi, I’m Jen (she/they) , a single mom of two, living in the Midwest and making art wherever I can squeeze it in.

I’ve been creating things for as long as I can remember. One of my first pieces was a cross-stitched mama goose with her goslings, stitched at the age of five. Since then, I’ve dabbled (read: fallen in love) with just about every craft you can think of, from friendship bracelets, sewing, polymer clay, dried flowers, sketching, to watercolors. Making things has always been how I process the world.

Outside of art, I’m also a lifelong plant lover. I started gardening by helping my stepmom plant pansies in the spring, and now I tend to both outdoor beds & pots and a happy little jungle of houseplants.

Professionally, I’ve worn a lot of hats in the tech world, from QA intern to project manager to program director. Over the years, I’ve built a pretty solid toolkit of organizational superpowers (spreadsheets are my love language), which I now use to support a different kind of project: helping disabled and neurodivergent artists build income streams on their terms.

Pushroom Art is the culmination of everything I care about, creativity, community, accessibility, and the belief that rest and art are both deeply valuable forms of work.

Thanks for being here. Let’s build something beautiful and more equitable… together.
